Guided tour of the submarine 434
For our visitors who want to learn more about life on board a submarine and the technical details, our guided tours with our trained guides are recommended.
Our guides will guide you - for an additional charge of €5.00 per person (duration of the tour approx. 45 minutes) - not only through the submarine with great background information, but also exclusively through the command center.
For all visitor groups with at least 5 people
Since the guided tours through the submarine can only take place in small groups due to the space available, it is therefore recommended for larger groups (minimum number of 5 people) to make a booking request using the form below.
The date of the desired tour must be at least 3 days in the future from the booking request.
For all other visitors (less than 5 people)
You can buy a guided tour directly on site at the box office - in addition to the admission ticket - and take part in one of the guided tours taking place. Please note that there may be waiting times here for organizational reasons.
Important for everyone
Of course, you can also visit submarine 434 without a guided tour.

Visitor regulations
01. | With the purchase of the admission ticket, the visitor fully accepts these visitor regulations of the U-Bootmuseum Hamburg GmbH. |
02. | Entering the structures and viewing the submarine is expressly at your own risk. ATTENTION: Every visitor must pay attention to the low room height, protruding metal parts, steps, hatches, bulkheads and supply lines! There is an increased risk of slipping and tripping on the entire submarine, especially with high heels and other clothing. |
03. | Because of the tightness on the submarine, the visit is not recommended for people with physical disabilities or if there is a risk of claustrophobia. A tour for wheelchair users is not possible due to the technical conditions. |
04. | Children under ten years of age are only allowed to enter the submarine when accompanied by an adult. |
05. | Staying on the submarine is only permitted within the designated boat areas that are open to visitors. Access to the non-public areas of the submarine is strictly prohibited and releases us from any liability. |
06. | For reasons of visitor safety, the submarine tour is only possible in the direction of the markings. |
07. | Smoking is strictly prohibited on the entire submarine. It is strictly forbidden to consume any kind of food and drinks you have brought with you. |
08. | It is forbidden to bring animals, tools, bulky objects and large bags. These are to be deposited outside the submarine at your own risk. The museum operator is not obliged to take care of them. |
09. | The submarine is under video surveillance for your safety. Any theft, any damage to property or any other willful damage to the submarine and its facilities will be brought to a criminal complaint and oblige the perpetrator to pay compensation in full. |
10. | The admission ticket entitles the holder to enter the submarine once for a period of 90 minutes. It is not transferable to other persons and loses its validity after leaving the submarine, but at the latest after 90 minutes. Please note that for safety reasons, no more than 80 people may be in the submarine at the same time. |
11. | In the event of an accident, alarm or other operational disruptions, keep calm and follow the loudspeaker announcements and instructions from the staff. In this situation, the submarine must be left immediately using the fastest route using the marked escape routes through the bow or stern exit. |
12. | In the case of slight negligence, we are only liable for personal injury and property damage to the amount of max. € 2,000,000 and in the case of financial losses only in the amount of max. € 5,000.
